Sutter Creek is centrally located within Northern California’s tourism triangle. We are well within a day trip’s distance to San Francisco and the Bay Area, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite.

Amador County covers 568 square miles ranging from gently rolling slopes in the west to rugged mountain terrain in the east. Elevations range from 200 to 9,000 feet.

Sutter Creek, Volcano, Jackson, Dry Town, Amador City, Ione, Plymouth and Fiddletown comprise Amador County’s historic gold mining communities. Key state highways through Amador County are Highways 49, stretching generally north-south, and Highway 88, running east-west.
